Alex and Amanda - Engagement Pictures

Alex and Amanda decided they wanted pictures at Squire's Castle in Willoughby. I had photographed weddings there previously. I was excited to spend some time there with an engagement shoot instead of rushing through everything for a wedding. It was great working with these two. They were so giddy with nerves from having their pictures takes that their expressions were priceless.

Amid a threatening gray sky and gusts of cold autumn air, we played around the castle to get a variety of expressions and angles. When we grew tired of the architectural wonder, we decided to take a walk through the woods. Fence climbing was first on the agenda as I had the two of them climb down, over, then up a ravine with a creek. I knew it was trust alone that gave me the fortune of convincing them to climb down the muddy slope. The pictures paid off with the fall foliage as the perfect backdrop. We then made a shotgun trip to a scenic waterfall. Although the waterfall itself could not be accessed from the ground, we were able to get it in the pictures by posing on the edge of a fairly scary ravine. Right when we finished, it started to rain. I guess we were able to get all of the pictures done just in time!
