Keith & Monica - April 14, 2012

Keith and Monica's wedding was a great celebration with family and friends. We started the day out with the girls getting their hair done at the Marriott. It was fun conversation as all of the girls in he bridal party, moms and flower girl got their hair and makeup done. Mr. Barns made a delicious electric skillet breakfast for everyone.

After hair and makeup it was off to St. Thomas More Church. There the girls got dressed while the gentlemen and guests arrived. During the ceremony, it started to rain. Good think for old legends that say rain on your wedding day means good luck! After the ceremony, with an adorable flower girl that LOVED being the center of everyone's attention ;-), we braved the raindrops to blow bubbles for the bride and groom.

Pictures were started at a local park with a gazebo to stay out of the rain. The best part? They had PROPS! I love props. We played around with a 'Just Married' sign and an '&' sign for some great pictures. After the park, we went to visit their grandmother in the hospital. We were allowed to take some pictures since she wasn't well enough to come to the ceremony. It took everything I had not to start crying on the spot. Taking those pictures were probably one of the hardest things I've done. We said our goodbyes and went to Edgewater Park for the rest of the pictures. Monica was excited to show off her purple rain boots while playing in the puddles. Although it stopped raining, the overcast sky and biting wind made taking pictures difficult for everyone there. Pictures were fun, despite the cold. Everyone stayed in good spirits and tried their hardest to not look too cold in the pictures.

We wrapped up the evening at Michaud's. Dinner was delicious, toasts were heartwarming and the atmosphere was relaxed. The DJ played the shoe game with the newlywed couple, making revelations about each other quite hilarious. Dancing, fun, and laughter filled the hall the entire evening. Despite the rain, it was a blast to photograph Keith and Monica's wedding.
