Alex and Amanda - Engagement Pictures

Alex and Amanda decided they wanted pictures at Squire's Castle in Willoughby. I had photographed weddings there previously. I was excited to spend some time there with an engagement shoot instead of rushing through everything for a wedding. It was great working with these two. They were so giddy with nerves from having their pictures takes that their expressions were priceless.

Amid a threatening gray sky and gusts of cold autumn air, we played around the castle to get a variety of expressions and angles. When we grew tired of the architectural wonder, we decided to take a walk through the woods. Fence climbing was first on the agenda as I had the two of them climb down, over, then up a ravine with a creek. I knew it was trust alone that gave me the fortune of convincing them to climb down the muddy slope. The pictures paid off with the fall foliage as the perfect backdrop. We then made a shotgun trip to a scenic waterfall. Although the waterfall itself could not be accessed from the ground, we were able to get it in the pictures by posing on the edge of a fairly scary ravine. Right when we finished, it started to rain. I guess we were able to get all of the pictures done just in time!

2012 Brochures

I am excited to be debuting the new Orchard Photography brochures at the Q 104 Bridal Show.  It is our first package and price change since 2007.  After speaking to former and potential brides, we've designed all of our packages around the input to better suit your needs.  As always, we keep our package pricing affordable during these difficult economic times.  A special thanks to Averill and Associates for designing our brochures. We have a great Bridal Show Promotion that will be offered, so be sure to check us out!  Hopefully we'll see you at the Q 104 show on January 8, 2012 at the Cleveland Renaissance Hotel.  Happy Holidays!

Vincent and Candace - August 6, 2011

I had the fortunate luck to photograph Vincent and Candace previously for their engagement pictures. Candace were so much fun to work with so I knew photographing them on their wedding day would be a blast.

I was welcomed into Candace's parents' home to photograph Candace getting ready. Her father was extremely nervous for his little girl getting married. Her mother took everything in stride and kept Candace on schedule. Candace was dressed and ready to go on time. Now I know where she gets her impeccable time management skills from.

The ceremony was nicely done. It was my first time learning about 'jumping the broom' at a wedding. After a slight hiccup with the limo service, we were off to Beartown Lake in Auburn for group photos. Despite the heat, we were able to get some great shots. and yes, it was HOT!!!

The reception was fun. There was a lot of action going on which made for great photos. Everyone was dancing an having a great time. I really appreciate being allowed to photography such a special occasion for Vince and Candace. I wish nothing but the best for you both!

David and Nicole - July 30, 2011

David and Nicole's wedding was absolutley stunning.  I went to Nicole's grandfather's house to take pictures of her getting ready with her bridesmaids.  There was a lot of laughing and joking around while the girls were getting ready.  When everyone was dresses, we headed to the Hyatt Arcade to meet up with the guys.  Pictures were taken there and at East 4th street.  The flowers on 4th street made a beautiful backdrop for the pictures.

After the pictures were taken, it was off to the church.  The ceremony was heartfelt with friends and family looking on.  Butterflies were released while David and Nicole walked out of the church in honor of her grandmother.  The ceremony directly followed at Cleveland City Hall.  Three different music entertainment groups helped to keep the party going all evening.  David and Nicole make such a cute couple and I'm so glad to have been a part of their day!

Anthony and Deanna - May 21, 2011

Deanna found me at Geaugua Lake Waterpark.  We were both working there when I brought my wedding stuff in for a nother coworker to see.  Deanna saw my albums and came over to look through them.  She informed me that she was engaged to another coworker of ours and she wanted me to photograph her wedding.

Deanna's parents were so nice.  Since I knew Deanna well, it was easy to fit right in with her family.  We had a fun time while she and her bridal party were getting dressed.  We headed to the church for the ceremony and the flurry of activity started.  The bride and girls were getting their last-minute touches together, the guys were seating the guests and the groom, Anthony, was talking with his family and friends.  After the ceremony, we went to the Bainbridge Fire Department (where Anthony works) for some pictures with the firetruck.  When we finished, we headed to Chagrin Falls to get some fun pictures with the bridal party and newlywed couple.  From there, we went to the the reception hall.  It was a great time with a LOT of energy.  I'm so happy I was able to be a part of Anthony and Deanna's wedding day.  I couldn't have asked for a better time with amazing friends!
